Ingredients:

• Raw Rice – 500 g
• Sprouted green gram – 25 g
• Ginger – 1.5 inches
• Asafoetida – 1 pinch
• Cumin – 1 tsp
• Bay Leaf – 2
• Grated Coconut – 1 cup
• Refined oil – 2 tbsp
• Salt to taste

Method:

  1. Wash and soak rice for 10 minutes.
  2. Heat oil in a pressure cooker or in a frying pan. Add bay leaf and cumin seeds. Stir for a second.
  3. When cumin seeds crackle, add grated coconut into it.
  4. Add hot water in proportion of one is to two.
  5. Add crushed ginger and asafoetida.
  6. Now add soaked rice and sprouted green gram and salt to taste.
  7. Cook till done. Remove it from fire, pour ghee evenly over it.
  8. Serve hot.
