Ingredients:

• 5 medium sized Potatoes
• 5 to 6 Green chillies (finely chopped)
• 5 bread slices
• 2 to 3 tbsp – oil (for making the tikkis)
• oil for deep frying
• salt to taste

Method:

  1. Boil the potatoes and mash them when still hot.
  2. Dry grind the bread slices. In a bowl mix together mashed potatoes, bread, green chillies and salt.
  3. Mix well to make a smooth dough.
  4. Divide the dough into small equal portions.
  5. Apply little oil on the palm of our hand.
  6. Shape each portion in to round shaped tikkis but slightly flattened.
  7. Repeat with the remaining portions.
  8. Deep-fry in hot oil till golden.
  9. Serve hot with tomato ketchup and green chutney.
