Ingredients:
• 1 cup – soy bean
• 2 cups – water
• 1/2 tsp – salt
• 1 tbsp -oil
• 1 tsp – Mustard Seeds
• 1/2 tsp – Jeera
• 1/4 tsp – Urad Dal
• 1 sprig – Curry leaves
• For Coconut mixture:
• 1 cup – grated Coconut
• 6 Cloves – garlic, crushed
• 1/2 tsp – Red Chilli powder
• 1/4 tsp – Turmeric powder
Method:
- Wash and soak soy bean in 2 cups of water for 6 hours or overnight.
- Pressure cook it for 15 minutes with salt.
- In a wide pan, heat oil. Add mustard seeds to it.
- When they begin to crackle, add jeera and urad dal to it.
- Saute for 1 -2 minutes. Add curry leaves and stir well for 2 minutes.
- Add boiled soy bean and coconut mixture to it.
- Add salt if needed. Cover it with a lid and cook on low to medium heat for 10 – 12 minutes or until it is done.
- Serve it as a side dish with rice.
