Ingredients:
• Mutton – 3/4 kg
• Onion – 2
• Chilly powder – 3 tsp
• Dhaniya powder – 3 tsp
• Turmeric powder – 3/4 tsp
• Ginger, Garlic crushed – 1.5 tbsp
• Coconut oil – 2 tbsp
• For Roasting :
• Onion – 1 large
• Green chilly – 4
• Chilly powder – 1/2 tsp
• Dhaniya powder – 1/3 tsp
• Turmeric powder – 1/4 tsp
• Coconut – 1/2 cup (cut into 1 cm squares, 1/4 cm thick)
• Curry leaves – 2 sprigs
• Garam Masala powder – 1 tsp
Method:
- Cook mutton in a pressure cooker with the ginger and garlic. Add salt and keep aside.
- Heat oil in a pan and saute the chopped onions until brown.
- Add green chillies and all the powders. Saute for 1 min.
- Add the cooked mutton and stir till it dries up.
- For the tempering, heat oil in a pan, saute the coconut pieces and curry leaves until coconut is brown.
- Pour this over the mutton.
- Stir and serve hot.
