Ingredients:
• 2 cups – Bottle Gourd chunks
• 4- Dry Red Chillies
• 1 tbsp – Urad Dal
• 2 tbsp – Grated Coconut
• 1 spoon- Tamarind paste
• Salt to taste
• 1/4 tsp – Mustard Seeds
• 5-10 – Curry leaves
• Oil.
Method:
- Heat oil in a pan and saute the urad dal and dry red chillies until golden brown. Keep aside.
- Now saute the bottle gourd chunks in the same pan for 3-5 mins.
- Then dry roast the grated coconut and keep aside.
- Now grind the cooked bottle gourd, roasted coconut, tamarind, fried urad dal, salt and red chillies in a mixie into a coarse paste.
- Then heat the remaining oil in a pan and splutter the mustard seeds and saute the curry leaves. Pour this over the ground paste.
- Serve as a side dish.
