Ingredients:

• 500 gms – fish, cleaned and cut into medium pieces
• 1/2 tsp – Turmeric powder
• 1 tsp – Red Chilli powder
• 1 tbsp – Lemon juice
• 2 Onions – chopped finely
• 1 – tomato, chopped finely
• 1/2 cup – Tomato pulp
• 1 tsp – Ginger paste
• 1 tsp – Garlic paste
• 1/4 tsp – Turmeric powder
• 1 tsp – Red Chilli powder
• 1 tsp – cumin powder
• 1 tsp -coriander powder
• 1 tsp – Garam Masala powder
• 3 tbsp – oil
• 1 tsp – salt
• Coriander leaves for garnishing
• 1/4 cup – grated Coconut

Method:

  1. Marinate the fish for 1/2 hour in lemon juice, chilli and turmeric powders.
  2. Heat oil in a pan.
  3. Fry the onions till golden brown.
  4. Add ginger-garlic paste.
  5. Simmer for 2 minutes.
  6. Add tomatoes and simmer for 3 more minutes.
  7. Add pulp, given powders and some salt.
  8. Cook till oil separates.
  9. Add 1 cup of water.
  10. Add fish and cook till it is done (don’t overcook the fish).
  11. Take in a bowl.
  12. Garnish with grated coconut and coriander leaves.
  13. Serve with rice.
