Ingredients:

• Left over idlis – 4
• Oil or Ghee – 3 tbsp
• Idly chilli powder – 2 to 3 tsp
• Fresh bread crumbs – 1/2 cup
• Milk – 2 tbsp

Method:

  1. Preheat the sandwich toaster till the indicator light switches off.
  2. Meanwhile, mix bread crumbs with milk.
  3. Add idli, chilli powder and 1.5 spoons oil or ghee. Mix well.
  4. Brush the under side of 2 idlis with some oil or ghee.
  5. Spread bread mixture on top of each idli and place in sandwich toaster. The idlis can be toasted on a tawa too.
  6. Toast till top is brown.
  7. Serve hot with ketchup or chutney.
