Ingredients:

• 1/2 sheet – nori seaweed
• Fresh Tuna – 1/2 kg
• 1.5 tsp – sichimi togarashi
• Sesame chilli oil – 2 tbsp
• Cooked sushi Rice – as required
• Some wasabi
• Soya sauce – for dipping
• Pickled Ginger to garnish

Method:

  1. Marinate slices of tuna with sichimi togarashi for an hour.
  2. Then coat with sesame chilli oil.
  3. Place the half sheet of nori on a rolling mat
  4. Spread a thin layer of sushi rice on it, leaving a small space uncovered at the ends.
  5. Layer tuna in the centre of roll.
  6. Holding the filling in place, roll away from you, using the mat.
  7. Turn the roll over and seal the uncovered nori section.
  8. Use a knife to cut pieces into rolls.
  9. To serve:
  10. Place rolls neatly on a Japanese flat plate.
  11. Put a small amount of wasabi and some pickled ginger at the side.
  12. A small dipping dish for soy sauce should accompany the meal.
