Ingredients:

• 1 cup – sundakkai (slit into two halves)
• 1/2 tbsp – urad dhal
• 1 tbsp – Coconut
• 3 -red chilli or adjust to your taste
• 1/2 tsp – Tamarind paste
• 1/2 tsp – Asafoetida
• 4 tsp – oil
• Salt

Method:

  1. In a pan, add 3 tsp of oil and fry sundakkai till it gets roasted well.
  2. Transfer to a small mixer jar and allow it to cool.
  3. In the same pan, add 1 tsp of oil and fry urad dhal, red chilly and asafoetida.
  4. Transfer to a mixture jar, add tamarind paste, salt and coconut.
  5. Add little water and grind the ingredients.
  6. Serve with rice or any Indian bread.
