
Ingredients:
• 500 g – Flour/maida
• 1/2 litre – Milk
• 6 tbsp -Sugar
• 1 tsp – Salt
• 200 g – Butter
• 1 cup – Warm water
• 4 -Eggs beaten
• 1 tsp – Vanilla essence
• 2 tsp – Active dry yeast.
Method:
- Dissolve the yeast in 1 cup of water.
- Combine all the ingredients together and knead into a soft dough with the dissolved yeast and milk.
- Use a little more water if required.
- Cover with a towel and set aside for 2 hours until the dough doubles in size.
- Punch the dough down and divide into 12 small rounds.
- Now shape them into loaves.
- Place on buttered and floured baking trays.
- Set aside for 45 mins to rise.
- Brush with beaten eggs and sprinkle powdered sugar on top.
- Bake in a moderate oven for 45 mins.
