Ingredients:
• 1/2 cup – thick Tamarind pulp
• 1/2 cup – jaggery, grated
• 1/2 tsp – cumin seeds, crushed
• 1 – green chilli, finely chopped
• 1 tbsp – coriander leaves, finely chopped
• 1/2 cup – onions, finely chopped
• 1/2 tsp – chilli powder
• 2 pinches – black salt, powdered
• Salt to taste
Method:
- Put tamarind and jaggery in a deep heavy saucepan.
- Bring to a boil, stirring frequently.
- Add all powders, salt, mix well.
- When mixture is thick, take off fire.
- When cooled to room temperature, transfer to a glass serving bowl.
- Add onions, coriander and chilli. Mix well.
- Serve cold with bhajias, pakoras, kachori, etc.
