Ingredients:

• Medium sized Yam – 1
• Ginger Garlic paste – 2 tsp
• Red Chilli powder – 2.5 tsp
• Dhania powder – 1 to 2 tsp
• Haldi powder – 1/4 tsp
• salt to taste
• Juice of 1/2 a Lime
• Tandoori colour – a pinch
• Oil to fry

Method:

  1. Peel the yam and rinse in water.
  2. Cut into medium sized square pieces and boil till tender but not mushy.
  3. Mix the rest of the ingredients in a bowl and apply to the yam pieces.
  4. Heat oil in a pan and shallow fry the yam.
  5. Serve on a bed of lettuce. Garnish with onion rings and lemon wedges, with a sprinkle of chaat masala.
