
Ingredients:
• 1 cup – Channa dal, Urad Dal and Green Moong dal
• 2 – Tomatoes
• 3 – Green chillies
• 1 tsp – Ginger (minced)
• 1/4 tsp – Turmeric powder
• Salt
• For tempering:
• 5 – Garlic Cloves (crushed)
• A few Curry leaves
• 1 tsp – Cumin seeds
• Oil
• 1 tbsp – Coriander leaves (chopped)
Method:
- Soak the lentils in warm water for at least an hour. Wash them properly.
- In a pressure cooker, take 3 cups water, add all three lentils, tomatoes, ginger, green chillies, turmeric, and salt. Cook for 5 whistles.
- Once the pressure gets released, mash the dals.
- Heat oil in a pan, add crushed garlic, curry leaves, and cumin seeds and fry till garlic turns golden brown.
- Add this tadka to the cooked dals, close the lid, and simmer it for a few minutes.
- Garnish with coriander leaves and serve with rotis or rice.
