
Ingredients:
• 5 – flour tortillas (small)
• Vegetable oil – enough to deep fry
• 1.5 cups – minced Meat
• 1 – large onion, finely chopped
• 1-2 – green chillies, finely chopped
• 1/4 cup – chopped Coriander leaves
• 1 tbsp – Ginger and Garlic paste
• 1/4 tsp – Turmeric powder (optional)
• 1 tbsp – water
• Salt to taste
• All purpose flour and water – to make slurry to seal edges of the tortillas
Method:
- Prepare the filling: Heat the oil in a saucepan on medium-high heat.
- Add the onions, finely minced meat (chicken, turkey, or beef), and saute until browned.
- Add the ginger-garlic paste, a pinch of turmeric, green chillies, and cook on medium heat for about 15-20 mins, until the meat is cooked.
- Add coriander leaves and let the filling cool.
- Prepare the samosas (can be baked at 350 degree F or deep fried).
- Heat oil in a deep saucepan on medium high.
- Cut the tortillas into two halves, and fold them like a V, with the front flaps overlapping.
- Fill the V-shaped tortillas with the filling and seal the edges with slurry of all purpose flour.
- Deep-fry them until they turn light brown colour.
