
Ingredients:
• 500 g – Maida
• 225 g – Butter or margarine or Ghee
• 225 g – fine Sugar
• 1 tsp – baking powder
• A little vanilla essence or elaichi powder
Method:
- Cream the butter till it becomes light and frothy, either with a wooden spoon or using fingers.
- Add sugar, a handful at a time, and go on creaming till the sugar has melted.
- When the mixture becomes light and frothy, add the flour, a tsp at a time, till it is well mixed.
- Form balls, press and place on a baking tray an inch apart.
- Bake for approx 12 minutes in an oven at 350 degree F.
- Ensure it does not burn.
