Ingredients:
• For cover:
• 2 cups – soaked ponni Rice
• Rice powder, to tighten the dough
• Salt
• For filling:
• 500g – Prawns
• 3-4 – Onions
• 1 tsp each – Ginger and Garlic paste
• 3 – Green chillies
• 1 – Tomato
• 1 tsp – coriander powder and Red Chilli powder
• 1/2 – Turmeric powder
• Curry leaves, Coriander leaves
Method:
- For cover: Grind the soaked rice, add salt and make a tight dough using rice powder.
- For the filling:
- Fry prawns with chilly powder, turmeric powder and salt.
- Keep aside.
- In a pan, heat oil add onions and saute till soft.
- Add ginger garlic paste, green chilli and saute till the raw smells goes.
- Add tomatoes and spice powders.
- Mix well and add the leaves and fried prawns.
- Allow to cool.
- Make medium-sized balls with the dough.
- Take each dough, flatten on your palm.
- Add the filling and roll again into small balls.
- Roll it in the scrapped coconut and steam till done.
