
Ingredients:
• 2 tsp – Tamarind paste
• Asafoetida – a pinch
• salt – to taste
• Curry leaves – a few
• 1/2 tsp – Mustard Seeds
• For masala:
• 2 tsp – Urad Dal
• 1/2 tsp – black pepper
• 5 to 6 – Red Chillies
• 1/2 tsp – Tuvar dal
• 2 tsp – Coconut ( if needed )
Method:
- Fry the masala ingredients and powder them.
- Take 2 tsps of tamarind paste and mix it with 2 cups of water.
- Heat little oil in a pan and add mustard seeds to it.
- After it crackles, add asafoetida and tamarind water mixture.
- Allow to boil till the raw smell goes.
- Add salt and curry leaves and boil for 2 minutes.
- Make a mixture of rice flour and water. Add it to the kuzhambu and keep it in the stove for a minute.
- Serve the kuzhambu hot with rice.
