
Ingredients:
• 1 cup – whole Wheat flour
• 1/2 cup – all-purpose flour
• 1 cup – Sugar
• 1 tsp – baking powder
• 1/2 tsp – baking soda
• 1 tsp – vanilla extract
• 2 – eggs
• 1/2 cup – custard powder
• 1/2 cup – oil (canola or sunflower)
• 1 cup – yogurt
Method:
- Sieve the flours, baking powder, baking soda and custard powder together and keep aside in a bowl.
- Beat the eggs with sugar until the mixture turns pale.
- Add the oil and yogurt to this mixture and beat well.
- Now mix in the vanilla extract.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients and mix with a spatula.
- Do not over mix the cake batter.
- Preheat the oven to 325 F and generously grease a round cake mould.
- Pour the batter into the mould and bake for 25-30 minutes on the middle rack until a skewer inserted comes out clean.
