• 1 cup – Idli Batter
• 2 cups – Zucchini, grated
• 1 tsp – Ginger, grated
• 2 – Green chillies


  1. Grind to a fine paste, the zucchini, ginger, and green chillies. Do not add water. The water from the zucchini is enough.
  2. Take the idly batter, add the ground paste to the idli batter and mix well.
  3. Grease the idli plates with oil, pour a ladle of zucchini-Idli batter and steam them in a pressure cooker or idli cooker for 10 minutes.
  4. Remove from the idli plates and serve hot with any chutney.
