Ingredients:

• 1 liter – whole Milk
• 1/4 to 1/2 cup – Sugar
• 5 to 6 – green Cardamom (powdered)
• 2 to 3 tsp – Ghee

Method:

  1. In a heavy bottomed vessel, on a medium flame heat the milk till boiling point.
  2. Stir continuously till it forms into khoya.
  3. Add the sugar, and mix well.
  4. Lower the flame otherwise it tends to char.
  5. Cook till the mixture leaves the sides of the vessel.
  6. Take a plate test by dropping a small piece of the mixture on the plate and check if you can roll into a peda when cool.
  7. Add the cardamom powder and mix well.
  8. Grease a thali. Make small peda like balls and flatten them.
  9. Keep them on the thali. Cool completely.
  10. Store in a steel airtight container.
