Ingredients:
• 1 liter – whole Milk
• 1/4 to 1/2 cup – Sugar
• 5 to 6 – green Cardamom (powdered)
• 2 to 3 tsp – Ghee
Method:
- In a heavy bottomed vessel, on a medium flame heat the milk till boiling point.
- Stir continuously till it forms into khoya.
- Add the sugar, and mix well.
- Lower the flame otherwise it tends to char.
- Cook till the mixture leaves the sides of the vessel.
- Take a plate test by dropping a small piece of the mixture on the plate and check if you can roll into a peda when cool.
- Add the cardamom powder and mix well.
- Grease a thali. Make small peda like balls and flatten them.
- Keep them on the thali. Cool completely.
- Store in a steel airtight container.
