Ingredients:

• Milk powder – 2 cups
• Almonds, powdered – 200 gms
• Sugar – 1 cup
• Saffron, dissolved in 4 tbsp. water – 1/2 tsp
• Water – 4 cups
• For garnishing:
• Almonds, blanched and slivered – 20
• Pistachios, blanched and slivered – 20
• Raisins – 4 tbsp
• Green Cardamom powder – 1 tsp

Method:

  1. Mix water and milk powder.
  2. Bring to a boil.
  3. Add the saffron and let it simmer for 3-4 minutes.
  4. Sprinkle the ground almond in batches so that no lumps are formed.
  5. Cook till you get a sauce of dropping consistency. This will require at least 10-12 minutes.
  6. Add half cup of milk if required.
  7. Now add the sugar and simmer for 5 mins.
  8. Remove from fire, cool and add cardamom powder and garnish with raisins and nuts.
