Ingredients:

• 4-5 pieces (250 gm) – Rohu fish
• 3 – Tomatoes
• Green peas – A handful
• 1 – Onion
• 3-4 Leeks – Spring onion
• 2-3 – Green chillies
• 1 tbsp – soya sauce
• 1 tsp – cumin powder
• Refined vegetable oil
• Turmeric powder – 1 tsp
• Salt
• Coriander leaves

Method:

  1. Add turmeric powder and salt to the fish pieces, mix well and shallow fry in oil. Keep aside.
  2. Add onion and spring onion to the same oil and fry till golden brown.
  3. Add salt and turmeric powder, mix well.
  4. Cut the tomatoes to very small pieces and add along with the green peas and cover with a lid.
  5. When the tomato pieces start to melt add a cup of water and cover again.
  6. When the water starts to boil add the fish pieces, green chillies, cumin powder and soya sauce.
  7. Mix well and cook on low flame until the gravy becomes thick or till done.
  8. Sprinkle fresh coriander leaves and serve.
