Ingredients:

• Idlis – 10
• Oil – 2 tbsp
• Urad Dal – 1/2 tsp
• Mustard Seeds – 1/2 tsp
• Chana dal – 1/2 tsp
• Green chillies – 3 chopped fine
• Curry leaves – a few
• Onion – 1 chopped fine

Method:

  1. Crush the idlis into small pieces with your hand.
  2. Pour oil in a pan and add mustard seeds.
  3. Once they start spluttering, add chana dal and urad dal.
  4. Once the dal turns golden brown, add chopped onions, green chillies and curry leaves.
  5. When onions turn golden brown, add crushed idlis and salt according to taste.
  6. Mix the ingredients.
  7. Tasty idli upma is ready.
  8. Serve with coconut chutney.
