Ingredients:

• 300 g – moong dal (whole)
• 1/4 tsp – Mustard Seeds
• 1/2 tsp – Chana dal
• 1/2 tsp – Urad Dal
• 2 – Green chilli
• 2-inch – ginger, grated
• 10-12 – Curry leaves
• 4-5 tbsp – grated Coconut
• 2 tbsp – oil
• Salt – to taste

Method:

  1. Boil moong dal to the consistency of cooked rice (not too soggy).
  2. Heat oil in a kadai and prepare a tadka by adding mustard seeds.
  3. Once it splutters add chana dal, urad dal, curry leaves, green chillies and grated ginger and fry for some time.
  4. Add cooked moong dal, and salt (as per your taste).
  5. Garnish with grated coconut.
  6. This can be served as a snack or with chappatis.
