Ingredients:
• 300 g – moong dal (whole)
• 1/4 tsp – Mustard Seeds
• 1/2 tsp – Chana dal
• 1/2 tsp – Urad Dal
• 2 – Green chilli
• 2-inch – ginger, grated
• 10-12 – Curry leaves
• 4-5 tbsp – grated Coconut
• 2 tbsp – oil
• Salt – to taste
Method:
- Boil moong dal to the consistency of cooked rice (not too soggy).
- Heat oil in a kadai and prepare a tadka by adding mustard seeds.
- Once it splutters add chana dal, urad dal, curry leaves, green chillies and grated ginger and fry for some time.
- Add cooked moong dal, and salt (as per your taste).
- Garnish with grated coconut.
- This can be served as a snack or with chappatis.
