Ingredients:

• 1 – whole Chicken
• Salt to taste
• 2 tsp – pepper powder
• 1 tsp – chilli powder
• 1/2 tsp – Turmeric powder
• 2 tbsp – oil

Method:

  1. Marinate the chicken with the salt, pepper, chilli powder and turmeric powder for about half an hour.
  2. Heat oil in a thick-bottomed pan or pressure cooker and add the whole chicken.
  3. Turn the chicken from side to side and fry for about for about 5 minutes Cover the vessel with a tight lid and simmer over low heat turning the chicken occasionally till the chicken is cooked and all the water is absorbed.
  4. Continue to cook till the chicken is roasted to golden brown.
  5. Serve with roasted potatoes and boiled vegetables.
