Ingredients:

• For filling:
• 100 g – Spring onions, finely chopped
• 4 – Chillies
• 100 g- Cheddar cheese, grated
• 1/2 tsp- Ajinomoto
• Salt and pepper to taste
• For dough:
• 1 cup- Maida
• 1/2 tsp – Salt
• For dipping sauce:
• 1 cup – White Vinegar
• 1 cup – Castor Sugar
• 1 – Cucumber, chopped
• 1 – Carrot, chopped
• Chives – a few
• Paprika powder- 1 tsp

Method:

  1. Knead the dough and divide into 20 portions.
  2. Roll out each portion into a small thin puri.
  3. Add the stuffing in the middle and shape like a momo or wanton.
  4. deep fry in oil.
  5. Serve with the sweet dipping sauce.
  6. To make the dipping sauce:
  7. Combine 1 cup white vinegar with 1 cup castor sugar in a saucepan.
  8. Stir until the sugar dissolves and boil until it thickens.
  9. Cool for 5 mins.
  10. Pour over the combined cucumber, carrot, chives and chill in a small bowl.
  11. Sprinkle with paprika before serving.
