Ingredients:

• 500 g – split peas
• 500 to 700 g – Sugar
• 3 tbsp – Mustard oil
• salt to taste

Method:

  1. Soak the peas for 4 to 6 hours. Drain.
  2. Grind it along with some salt in a mixie.
  3. Heat mustard oil in a pan and add the peas paste.
  4. Cook until it turns brown.
  5. Meanwhile, make sugar syrup of 1-string consistency.
  6. Mix it with the fried peas paste.
  7. Let it cool for half hour and then serve.
