Ingredients:

• 1 kg – Pomfret
• For masala:
• 1 tbsp – Red Chilli powder
• 1/2 tsp – Turmeric powder
• 1/2 tsp – salt
• For stuffing:
• 4 – Onions
• 4 – medium Green chillies
• A few sprigs – Mint leaves
• 1 tsp – garam-masala
• 100 gms – Plums
• 1 tsp – pepper powder
• 3 tbsp – Ghee
• 1 cup – cooking oil

Method:

  1. Wash the fish and slit in the middle.
  2. Keep the fish whole, except for the slit.
  3. Mince all the ingredients for stuffing and fry it in ghee.
  4. Apply turmeric powder, salt and the masala inside and outside the fish.
  5. Fill the fish with stuffing.
  6. Tie the fish with a string, so that the stuffing does not fall out.
  7. Dip the fish in a batter of wheat flour and fry on low flame.
