
Ingredients:
• 1 cup – tur dal
• 4 – drumsticks, peeled and cut into 2 inch pieces
• 2 tsp – chilli powder
• 1 tsp – coriander powder
• 1/2 tsp – Turmeric powder
• 1 tsp – cumin powder
• 2 – tomatoes, chopped
• 1 tsp – crushed Garlic
• salt to taste
• 1 tsp – Mustard Seeds
• 2 – red chillies, broken into bits
• few Curry leaves
• 1 tbsp – oil
Method:
- Wash the dal and cook it along with the tomato, chilly powder, coriander powder, cumin powder, turmeric powder and drumsticks with sufficient water in a pressure cooker.
- When it gets cooked open the cooker, add salt and some more water and mix well.
- In another vessel, heat oil and add the mustard seeds, broken red chillies and smashed garlic and fry for some time.
- When the mustard seeds start spluttering add it to the cooked dal.
- Serve with rice.
