Ingredients:

• 2 cups – chopped mixed vegetables such as beans, carrots, peas, cabbage, Cauliflower
• 1 – onion, chopped
• 2 tbsp – Butter
• 1 tbsp – plain flour
• 1/2 cup – Milk
• 6 cups – water
• Salt and pepper to taste.

Method:

  1. Boil the vegetables in water on medium heat for about 6 mins or till tender.
  2. Heat butter in a pan and saute the onions till transparent.
  3. Add the flour and milk. Stir well.
  4. Now add the vegetables and water.
  5. Mix well and simmer on medium heat for about 5 or 6 mins.
  6. Season with salt and pepper.
  7. Serve hot with croutons.
