Ingredients:

• 150 g – gavar (cluster beans)
• 50 g – oil
• 20 g – green chillies, finely chopped
• 50 g – besan (gram flour)
• 25 g – coriander leaves, chopped
• 10 g – ajwain
• 10 g – garlic, chopped
• salt to taste

Method:

  1. Clean, string and cut each bean into 3 pieces.
  2. Steam till tender.
  3. Mix gram flour, salt and 5 gm green chillies.
  4. Knead with water to stiff dough.
  5. Make coin-sized, flat roundels.
  6. Heat oil in hot pan.
  7. Add garlic, green chillies and beans.
  8. Sprinkle ajwain and salt.
  9. Fry dhoklis for 5 minutes.
  10. Add water as required to form thick, saucy gravy.
  11. Serve hot, garnished with coriander.
