Ingredients:
• 1 cup – thick Poha
• 1 tbsp – Jaggery
• 1 tsp – Tamarind paste
• 2 tsp – rasam powder
• Salt as per taste
• 3 sprigs – chopped coriander
• 2 tsp – oil
• 1/2 tsp – Mustard Seeds
• 4 Curry leaves
• 2 tsp – Peanuts
• A pinch – asafetida
• 1/2 tsp – Channa Urad Dal mix
Method:
- Crush rice flakes coarsely in a blender and keep aside.
- Mix jaggery, tamarind, salt and rasam powder in 2 cups of water and heat til jaggery and salt dissolves.
- Pour the spiced water on the crushed rice flakes to make it damp.
- Cover and keep aside for 15-20 mins.
- Heat oil in a pan and splutter mustard seeds and add asafoetida, curry leaves, peanuts and dal mixture and add to the rice flakes.
- Garnish with chopped coriander and serve.
