Ingredients:
• 1 cup – Toor Dal
• 1.5 tsp – Tamarind paste
• chopped Coriander leaves
• 3 tsp – Sambar powder
• 1 cup – vegetables (cucumber, squash, brinjal, onion)
• Curry leaves
• Mustard Seeds
• Grind to a paste: 1/2 cup Coconut
• 3-4 Red Chillies
• Garlic
• 1 tsp Coriander seeds
• 1/2 tsp Jeera
• A pinch Hing
Method:
- Cook the toor dal first.
- Then add the ground paste, 1.5 tsp tamarind paste, chopped coriander leaves & 3 tsp sambar powder.
- Add the cut vegetables & let them cook.
- Allow it to boil on a medium flame for 20 minutes.
- Season with curry leaves, hing, mustard seeds & jeera.
