
Ingredients:
• Red Chillies – according to your taste
• Channa dal – 1 cup
• Urad Dal – 1 cup
• Dry Coconut powder – 1.5 cups or 1/4 of the Coconut
• Cilantro – 1 bunch
• Tamarind – 2-3 tsp
• Hing or Asafoetida – 1 tsp
• Salt as required
• Oil – 1 tsp
• Mustard Seeds – 1 tsp
Method:
- Fry red chillies, channa dal, urad dal and asafoetida until they become light red. Powder them and keep them aside.
- Now add dry coconut powder, salt, cilantro, tamarind and mix well (preferably in mixie).
- Put one tsp oil in the pan, add 1 tbsp of mustard seeds and then fry for 2 minutes on low fire.
- Remove from fire, cool and store in an air-tight container.
- It goes well with rice and chapattis.
