Ingredients:
• For batter:
• 1 cup – sooji/rava/semolina
• 1 cup – yogurt
• 1/4 cup – water
• salt
• a pinch – Hing
• 1/4 tsp – Turmeric powder
• 1/2 tsp – green chilli, chopped
• 2 tbsp – Coriander leaves (cilantro), chopped
• 1 tbsp – coconut, grated
• 2 tsp – Lemon juice
• To season in 1 tbsp oil:
• 1 tsp – Jeera (optional)
• 1/2 tsp – Mustard Seeds
• Other ingredients:
• 1 tsp – eno fruit salt
Method:
- Mix all the ingredients for the batter and let it rest for 30 minutes.
- Heat oil in a pan. Add mustard seeds and jeera and allow it to crackle.
- Pour this into the batter.
- Add eno fruit salt. Mix the batter well.
- Steam on high flame in greased idli plates for 12 minutes.
