
Ingredients:
• 10 – fish pieces (Katla or Rohu)
• 1 cup – Curd
• 2 – Onions (big, sliced)
• 2 – Bay Leaves
• 2 – Dried red chillies
• 1/2 tsp – Turmeric powder
• 1 tbsp – Red Chilli powder
• 1/2 tsp – Garam Masala powder (green cardamom, Cinnamon and cloves)
• refined oil for frying
• 1 tsp – Sugar
• salt to taste
• Coriander leaves to garnish
Method:
- Marinate the fish pieces with 1/2 tsp of turmeric powder and salt and keep aside for 15-20 minutes.
- Heat oil in a kadhai. Add the bay leaves and dried red chillies. Now fry the onions until brown.
- Add a little sugar, red chilli powder and garam masala powder and stir.
- Add 3/4 of the curd and keep stirring until the oil leaves the masala.
- Add the fish pieces to the mixture.
- Cook on high flame until the fish is done. Add salt.
- Garnish with the remaining curd and chopped coriander leaves.
