Ingredients:

• Mint leaves – 1 bunch.
• Coriander leaves -1 bunch.
• Dry Red Chillies – 3.
• Tamarind paste – 1/2 tsp.
• Salt to taste.
• Onion – 1.
• Tomatoes – 1 | Urad Dal – 1/2 tsp| Seasonings:
• Mustard Seeds – 1 tsp.
• Urad Dal – 1 tsp.
• Curry leaves – 1 sprig.

Method:

  1. Heat oil in kadai, add 1/2 tsp urad dal. Fry till it turns brown.
  2. Add chopped onions and red chillies. Fry till golden brown.
  3. Add mint and coriander saute till they wilt.
  4. Add tomatoes and fry till it softens.
  5. Now grind all the fried ingredients with tamarind paste and salt.
  6. Put the kadai back on heat and add some oil. Splutter mustard seeds.
  7. Add urad dal and when it turns brown, add curry leaves and fry for a minute.
  8. Add this seasoning to the chutney.
  9. Serve with dosas.
