Ingredients:
• 2 cups – whole green gram (green moong dal)
• 1 – Onion (chopped)
• 3 – Garlic Cloves (minced)
• 1 cup – any sort of cubed veggies (carrots, zucchinis, potatoes, Leek pieces)
• 1/2 tsp – white pepper powder
• 2 tsp – Parsley leaves (chopped)
• 1 tsp – chilli sauce
• salt to taste
• 1 tsp – Olive oil
Method:
- Soak the whole green gram for at least 6 hours.
- Heat the olive oil and saute the chopped onions and minced garlic cloves until the onions turn translucent. Keep aside.
- Pour the soaked green grams in a pressure cooker with enough water. Add the sauteed onions and garlic cloves, the chopped vegetables and enough salt.
- Cook for up to 3 whistles. Add the white pepper powder, parsley leaves and chilli sauce.
- Slightly smash the cooked green grams and cook by simmering for a few minutes.
