Ingredients:
• 100 g – Paneer
• 250 g – Spinach leaves
• 1 – onion, chopped
• 1/2 tsp – Cumin seeds
• 2 tsp – coriander powder
• 1/2 tsp – Turmeric powder
• 1 tsp – Red Chilli powder
• 1 tsp – Kashmir mirch/deggi mirch
• 1 tsp – Garam Masala
• 1 tsp – amchur powder
• Ginger, finely chopped
• Garlic, finely chopped
• Salt to taste
Method:
- Pre-preparation:
- Cut paneer into desired shape (long rectangle/triangular shaped).
- Finely chop onion, garlic and ginger.
- Add some vegetable oil in fry pan.
- Fry the paneer cubes until it becomes golden brown in colour.
- Take some warm water with salt in bowl and place fried paneer cubes in the bowl.
- Cut spinach leaves in any shape and boil it with some salt (no need to add water for boiling).
- Preparation:
- Heat oil in heavy pan.
- Add cumin seeds, asafoetida and stir it.
- Add finely chopped garlic, ginger and onion.
- Stir it until it becomes light brown in colour.
- Mix turmeric powder, coriander powder, salt and red chilli powder.
- Fry it for 3-4 mins.
- Take out boiled spinach leaves in a bowl.
- Grind the boiled spinach leaves in mixie or with hand grinder.
- Cover it and cook it for 10-15 mins at medium heat.
- Open the lid, add in the paneer and cook until gravy thickens.
- Sprinkle garam masala and amchoor powder.
- Garnish it with cream or with butter depending upon the taste.
