Ingredients:
• 25 slices – bread (preferably a day old)
• 60 g – clarified Butter
• 230 g – granulated Sugar
• 570 ml – Milk
• 4 eggs
• 1/2 cup – chopped Almonds
• 1 1/2 tsp – vanilla essence
• 1 tsp – Cinnamon power
• For the Sauce:
• 110 g – melted Butter
• 50 g – castor Sugar
• 6 eggs
• 1 tsp – vanilla essence
Method:
- Line a baking dish and place bread on it. In a bowl, mix sugar, eggs, milk, cinnamon powder and vanilla essence.
- Pour this mixture over the bread slices and press with a spatula so that the bread gets soaked.
- Top with chopped almonds.
- Add to the clarified butter and press until the chopped almonds also get soaked.
- Bake at 180 degrees for an hour or so.
- For Sauce: Add sugar to the melted butter and cook over low flame until sugar dissolves.
- Do not allow it to turn brown.
- Beat eggs and add vanilla essence. Add the egg mixture.
- Cut pudding and pour sauce. Serve hot.
