
Ingredients:
• 1 – Raw Mango
• A handful of split moong dal, picked and washed
• 2 – chillies, chopped
• 4 Cloves – garlic, chopped
• Salt
• Little Red Chilli powder
Method:
- Cut mango into small pieces and place them along with dal, garlic, green chillies along with 3 cups of water in a pressure cooker. Pressure cook for 3 whistles.
- When pressure drops, mash the mixture well with the back of a spoon or a potato masher.
- The mixture should have a creamy consistency with a little bit of water left in it.
- Add a couple of tbsps of cooking oil to a frying pan and prepare seasoning with mustard, chana, curry leaf and jeera, and add it to the dal.
- Allow dal to boil for 3 to 4 minutes. Then add salt and little chilli powder to get colour, and stir.
- Garnish with coriander leaves and serve with rice.
