Ingredients:
• 1 cup – Soya granules
• 2 – Boiled Potatoes
• 1/4 cup – Bread crumbs
• 1 tbsp – Finely chopped Onions
• 1/4 cup – Milk
• 1 tsp – Roasted Cumins powder
• 1/4 tsp – Chaat masala
• 1/4 tsp – Red Chilli powder
• salt to taste
• Oil to shallow fry
Method:
- Soak the soybeans in water for a minimum of 3 hours.
- Boil the soaked beans for 15 mins in a large, heavy-base saucepan.
- Drain the water and mash the beans in a blender until they are thoroughly combined.
- The soybean pulp is ready when the beans are blended into a stiff puree.
- Add water as needed during the blending.
- Mix all the ingredients together apart from the breadcrumbs.
- Mix until a thick mixture forms.
- Shape into evenly sized patties.
- Roll each patty in the breadcrumbs until coated.
- Bake or fry the patties.
- If you choose to bake the patties, they will cook in an oven at 350 degree F/177 degree C until brown.
- If frying, keep an eye on the patties and turn over when each side is brown.
- It is best fried over low heat to prevent burning.
- Serve with sauce and salad.
- Perfect for breakfast, brunch, dinner and supper.
