Ingredients:

• 1 pound -frozen Spinach
• 1 cup- besan
• a pinch – Asafoetida powder
• 1 tsp – coriander powder
• 1 tsp – Red Chilli powder
• salt to taste
• 1 tsp – ajwain
• 1/4 cup – water
• 1 tbsp – cooking oil
• 1 tsp -raw Mango powder (amchur)

Method:

  1. Thaw spinach in microwave for 5 minutes.
  2. Mix with besan, salt, asafoetida powder, coriander powder, red chilli powder and water (the paste should be like the one for vadas ).
  3. Make about 10 balls from the paste and put in microwavable dish. Heat for 5 minutes.
  4. Cool for about 5 minutes after taking out of microwave. In a pan heat oil and add ajwain to it.
  5. Put the balls in the oil and cook on slow fire for about 2 minutes. Garnish with amchoor powder and serve with green chutney or tomato ketchup.
