
Ingredients:
• 1 – bottle gourd, peeled and chopped
• 350 gm – Prawns
• 2 – tomatoes, grated
• 1 – onion, grated
• 2 tsp – cumin powder
• 1 tsp – coriander powder
• 1 tsp – Turmeric powder
• 1 tsp – ginger-garlic paste
• 3-4 – green chillies, slit
• Salt as per taste
• Coriander leaves for garnishing
Method:
- Marinate prawns with turmeric powder and salt for 15 mins.
- Heat oil in a container and fry the prawns.
- The prawns should be cooked for 10 minutes till they are soft.
- Remove and keep them aside.
- Heat oil in the container and add onions and tomatoes.
- Cook till they become soft.
- The bottle gourd should be peeled and chopped into medium pieces.
- Add the chopped bottle gourd to the container along with other vegetables.
- Mix with the help of a spatula and add cumin powder, coriander powder and ginger-garlic paste to it.
- Add the already cooked prawns.
- Add 1/2 cup water and allow the contents to stand for 5 minutes till the water gets absorbed and the vegetables cook well along with the prawns.
- Garnish with chopped coriander leaves and slit green chillies for taste and flavour.
