Ingredients:

• 1 – bottle gourd, peeled and chopped
• 350 gm – Prawns
• 2 – tomatoes, grated
• 1 – onion, grated
• 2 tsp – cumin powder
• 1 tsp – coriander powder
• 1 tsp – Turmeric powder
• 1 tsp – ginger-garlic paste
• 3-4 – green chillies, slit
• Salt as per taste
• Coriander leaves for garnishing

Method:

  1. Marinate prawns with turmeric powder and salt for 15 mins.
  2. Heat oil in a container and fry the prawns.
  3. The prawns should be cooked for 10 minutes till they are soft.
  4. Remove and keep them aside.
  5. Heat oil in the container and add onions and tomatoes.
  6. Cook till they become soft.
  7. The bottle gourd should be peeled and chopped into medium pieces.
  8. Add the chopped bottle gourd to the container along with other vegetables.
  9. Mix with the help of a spatula and add cumin powder, coriander powder and ginger-garlic paste to it.
  10. Add the already cooked prawns.
  11. Add 1/2 cup water and allow the contents to stand for 5 minutes till the water gets absorbed and the vegetables cook well along with the prawns.
  12. Garnish with chopped coriander leaves and slit green chillies for taste and flavour.
