
Ingredients:
• 1 cup – Urad Dal
• 1 cup – Rice
• 1 tsp – Methi seeds (optional)
• Salt to taste
Method:
- Pre-preparation:
- Soak rice, urad dal and methi seeds in water.
- Leave it overnight.
- Grind the mixture and leave it for a day.
- Preparation:
- Grease the idli moulds and spoon the batter into them.
- Heat water in the idli cooker.
- Steam cook for about 12-15 mins on high.
- Turn off the gas and leave it for 15-20 mins.
- Serve it with hot sambar or with chutney.
