Ingredients:
• 1 cup – besan
• 2 cups – Sugar
• 2 cups – Ghee
• 1 tsp – Cardamom powder
Method:
- Dry roast the besan until it is warm and keep aside.
- Grease a plate with ghee and keep aside.
- Add 1 cup of water to the sugar and boil well until all the sugar dissolves.
- Add 1/2 cup ghee to the sugar syrup and boil further for another 2-3 mins.
- To this, add the roasted besan and stirring continuously until all the lumps disappear.
- Add the remaining 1/2 cup of ghee and cardamom powder. Stir constantly for another 2-3 mins.
- Continue the process until all the ghee is added.
- Mysore pak is done when a honey comb shaped froth appears on the surface of the lump.
- Transfer to the greased plate and roll to the thickness of 1 inch.
- Cool and cut into squares.
