Ingredients:
• Raw Rice – 1.5 cups
• Grated Coconut – 2 cups
• Green chillies – 5 to 6
• Jaggery – 1 piece
• Tamarind – a gooseberry-sized ball
• Salt – 2 tsp
• Jeera – 1/2 tsp
• Aniseed – 1/2 tsp
• Turmeric powder – 1/2 tsp
• Dhania powder – 1 tsp
• Cabbage – 250g, finely chopped
• Onion – 3 medium-sized, finely chopped
Method:
- Soak rice for two hours and grind along with all the other ingredients, except onion and cabbage.
- Mix finely chopped cabbage and onion with the ground rice batter.
- Heat the tawa and pour a spoonful of batter and make adai.
- Serve with chutney.
