
Ingredients:
• 1 cup – Wheat flour
• 1/2 cup – Jaggery
• 1.25 cups – water
• 2 tbsp – split moong dal
• 1 tsp – Cardamom powder
• 1/4 cup – grated Coconut
• 1/4 tsp – salt
• 1 tbsp – oil
Method:
- Dry-roast the wheat flour in a pan for a few minutes and keep aside.
- Dry-roast the split moong dal in a pan until golden brown.
- Heat the water, oil and salt together. Once the water starts boiling, add the jaggery pieces and make a syrup.
- Strain the syrup and heat again until it starts to thicken.
- Immediately add the roasted wheat flour, roasted moong dal, grated coconut, cardamom powder and stir everything until the wheat flour get off the pan.
- Let the dough mixture cool.
- Make a small ball from the dough and press in your fingers.
- Pressure-cook for 10 minutes in an idli cooker.
- Serve hot.
