
Ingredients:
• 1.5 cups – Rice flour
• 1/2 cup – moong dal flour
• 1/4 cup – Channa dal flour (besan)
• 1/2 tsp – Sesame seed (til)
• 1 tsp – chilli powder
• 3 tsp – margarine or Butter
• Salt – to taste
• Oil – 2 tbsp (or more for frying)
Method:
- In a mixing bowl add the rice flour, moong dal flour, besan, til, salt, chilli powder and margarine and make a firm dough, adding water little by little.
- Fill the mullu murruku (chakli) press with the dough.
- Heat oil in a kadai and when the oil is hot, press the dough into the oil.
- Cook to a light golden colour or until the hissing sound ceases. Remove and drain it on a kitchen paper towel.
- Store it in a dry airtight container.
